Your ISELL classifieds, , is a global
traffic return system. What does this mean?

It means, that every 30 days or so - confirmation
messages ask users that posted to RETURN to your
site to re-post their ads. Now, here is where the
importance of the HOMEPAGE URL setting comes
into play BIGTIME...

Side Note:

For information on setting this and other ISell
settings, see "Admin Center"

..

In the confirmation and expire emails [these are
the ones the prompt the user to RETURN to your ISELL site
AND your website], this URL is listed.

What happens is the user is forced to return your homepage,
find the link for the classifieds

- BUT FIRST THEY MUST VIEW YOUR SITE-

and then post another ad... then this repeats in another
30 days or so... and they see your site again, and again...

TIP:

You may want to put the link at the BOTTOM of your
homepage to ensure the person must view the whole
page, before re-posting.


The more times they see your site, the more chances you
have of making a sale... This gives you 5 WAYS to make
money / get a sign up etc etc:

1 - Top ad in the confirmation message.

2 - Bottom ad in the confirmation message.

3 - Top ad in the expire email.

4 - Bottom ad the expire email.

5 - Return to your website to re-post an ad.

What really drives the Internet? How do you build a successful
web business without the need to strong-arm people into buying from you?

What one thing could make all the difference and give you a solid,
reliable, profitable web business that will produce huge profits for
years to come?

If you've been involved in marketing of any kind over the last
two decades, I'm sure you've heard the saying, "content is King."
Marketers, successful marketers, live by that mantra. When I look
at the Internet what I really see are two things. There is the
content and then there are the applications that allow you to
interact with the content.

To completely over-simplify things, the applications are what
make is possible for us to create, share, and use the content we
find on the Internet. So to say content is King, you'd have to
also say that the applications are Queen in order to have a more
complete view of the Internet. There are all kinds of
applications from the browsers that make surfing the Internet
possible to all sorts of applications that manage and deliver the
content.

Think about it. Without the application we know as Google, how
would you find the content you're looking for on the Internet?

I've been there and I remember finding things online was next to
impossible, but that was back in 1987. Then we have Adobe TM
Flash that allows us to see and hear sounds and images over the
Internet.

There are sorts of content management systems available to us
today that simply didn't exist a few years back. As it becomes
easier and easier to manage and digest, the demand for new
content grows and grows.

Marketers who create quality content often find they are able to
generate large amounts of traffic, they usually have large
mailing lists, and it almost goes without saying that they
usually have healthy bank accounts.

It all starts with the content. The more you create, share,
distribute, the better off you'll be in building a profitable
business on the web. If you want the real secret to Internet
success, this is it.

Content comes in many forms, and it's best to use as many forms
as possible on your web site because there are now so many ways
to access and use content and not everybody wants it the same
way. Some people love to read, others prefer to listen, some
prefer to sit back and watch a video.

As you develop your content, think about creating not just
written articles, white papers, and special reports. Be sure to
add streaming audio, podcasts, videos, screen-captures, and even
animations to your mix.

Sometimes it's best to offer the same content in different
formats. For instance, you might offer an article as both a
regular web page and a downloadable .PDF file. You might offer a
video and also offer just the audio track from that same video.

Now how do you get from creating content to building a successful
business?

Think about why most people use the Internet. They get online and
check e-mail. They log into their social networks to keep up with
their friends. They search for information to help them answer a
question. They look for things to buy. They come to play games
and meet people. All of these activities revolve around finding
and using content.

When you've got content on your web site and you make it easy for
people to find, you increase the traffic to your web site,
naturally.

The more content you have, the more people will be stopping by
your webs site. Truly the days of the single-page sales letter
web sites are done. You've got to do more than make a compelling
sales pitch, you've got to demonstrate that you're the leader in
your market. You've got to show people why they need what you
have and how it will truly make their lives better. And most of
all, you've got to let them sample your stuff before they buy.

Let's look at it from the customer's perspective. Your customer
wants the best of what's available but how can they figure out
what's best from a sales letter alone? They need more information
that's not in the form of a sales pitch. They need to feel like
they can try it on, test it out, and they can do that when you
offer them plenty of content on your web site.

So if you're selling a product that is best demonstrated in a
video, be sure you have a number of videos on your web site
showing customers using and loving your product. If you sell
consulting, demonstrate your knowledge of your topic with
articles, reports, white papers, audio presentations, and even
videos of you speaking about to an audience.

As you plan your content, also keep in mind how you're going to
present it on your web site so that's its in the formats people
can really use, that it's easy to find, and that's it readily
accessible from different Internet devices, including smart
phones.

If you'll take to time to do this, what you'll soon realize is
that your sales letters will perform better, people will not need
as much strong-arm salesmanship before they buy, your mailing
list will grow, and your web site will show up in more places on
the Internet.

It's no surprise that web sites that offer a lot of content lead
the field when it comes to sales. Take a look at your web site
today and think about how a new visitor would really get to
sample what it is you do without having to buy what you're
selling.

How good is your web site at attracting new visitors without
little or no direct effort on your part? Do you have enough
easily accessible content on your web site to keep people coming
back for more?

Most web sites, including my own, can always use more great
content. Adding content is the best and profitable use of your
marketing dollars because the return on your investment continues
for years.

For instance, in 1991 I wrote my very first article on marketing.
It was published in a national business magazine a few months
later and it continues to appear on the Internet almost 20 years
later. In that time, this one article has been read more than a
million times, and has generated countless sales for my business.
What other kind of marketing can do that?

In my opinion, no other marketing piece can do what adding fresh
content to your web site can. Ideally, you'll be adding new
content regularly, and expiring content that is no longer
relevant. When you do, you'll have the most profitable marketing
strategy working for you all day, every day for years to come.

Why is it that 80% of companies that are able to survive the first
five years of business will usually fail in the next five? Shouldn’t
they know what to do after being in business for the first five years?

The reason is because markets and economies are changing so fast
that what works in business today will not work in three to five
years. If you have the mindset of constantly doing things the
same way and maintaining the status quo, you will soon be out
of business.

Successful entrepreneurs are engaged in constant and never-ending
improvement. They are always finding ways to innovate and
improve their business operations, marketing, products and
services. They know that if their business is not improving
and growing, it is dying. Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft)
once remarked that the key to succeed in business is to
innovate and make yourself obsolete. If you don’t make
yourself obsolete, your competitors will make you obsolete.

This is why the moment a software like Windows is released, Microsoft
is already working on the next version and upgrades like Windows 98,
Windows 2000, Windows NT, Vista and so on. Bill Gates knows that the
moment they stop innovation, another company will create an even
better software and take over their customers.

This is exactly what has happened to companies that did not change
fast enough. Back in the 1990s, the top selling mobile phone was
Motorola. Motorola produced the best-designed and technologically
advanced phones. Everyone, including me bought a Motorola phone.
So, where is Motorola today? Last I heard, their mobile phone
business has been losing so much money that Motorola is thinking
of shutting down the whole mobile phone business altogether.

What happened?

Well, Nokia and Sony Ericsson happened to innovate even better
designed and more user friendly handsets that captured all of
their market shares and profits.

Do you know which is the first search engine on the Internet?
Is it Google? Yahoo? MSN?

The answer is none of them. The world’s first search engine is
Alta Vista. Many of you may never have heard of this brand
simply because it has it is an obscure site that very people
go to. Needless to say, the company that was once a market
pioneer and leader is now a business failure. Again, what
happened was that the founders had the mindset that their
search engine was good enough and there was no need to
change what was working.

This left the door wide open for Yahoo! to come in and take
away that leadership position. T

hen what happened next?
Well, Yahoo! was too slow to extend their service range and innovate
their advertising services such that Google (one of the newest
Internet search engines) came along and took away 70% of the
market share, leaving the remaining 30% to be fought over by
the other search sites. In today’s ever-changing marketplace,
a company that is the market leader today could be bankrupt
five years later, if they stop innovated and finding new
ways of doing things.

Instead of seeing this fact as a threat, see it as a fantastic
opportunity. This means that your new company could take over
the leadership position of the largest competitor today and
even put them out of business! The key is to find a way to
serve their customers even better then they can!

So, let me emphasize again that unless you keep innovating
and changing the way you do business, you will be out of
business soon enough. I can tell you that if I did not
grow my business to enter new regional markets like
Indonesia, China, Thailand, India and Malaysia, I will be
bankrupt today!

My company’s monthly overheads are about $500,000 and Singapore
only accounts for 50% of my sales and profits. If I did not
constantly focus on creating new programs (i.e. the Wealth
Academy and Internet Marketing Academy series), writing new
books (two a year) and changing my marketing and distribution
strategy every day (i.e. entering the Singapore schools market),
I wouldn’t still be the market leader in personal development
training in Asia. Another competitor would have caught up and
blasted me away to oblivion.

Today, it is impossible to maintain your position in the market
by doing the same thing. The reason is because customer’s
expectations change constantly, competitors improve constantly,
employees work habits change constantly and so forth. So if
you keep doing business the same way, you are actually going
down, as everything around you is improving.

So, you've built an empire on the Internet, and now it's time to move
on. Well OK, maybe its not a full-blown empire, but it has taken
substantial blood, sweat and tears to create, and you want to make
sure you get a reasonable amount of money for all your efforts.
Determining the value of a website can be tricky, because a number
of factors can play a role. Factors involved in determining the
resale value of a website include...


1. Traffic Volume

The volume of organic web traffic that comes to a website influences
the value of that website. Organic web traffic refers to any traffic
that is not the result of advertising.

2. Ranking For A Critical Phrase

How a website ranks for critical or popular keyword search phrases can
also play a role in the value of a website. Ranking high in Google's
organic search results for important, relevant, or popular phrases
can influence the value of a website.

3. Volume Of Backlinks

The number of websites that link *to* the website in question can
influence the amount that the website is worth. The number of
incoming links, and the quality of those links, can both
impact the value of the website.

4. PageRank

The PageRank (also referred to as PR) can be an indication of
how Google views the website. A high PageRank indicates that
a website is trusted by Google. PageRank may influence how
much a buyer is willing to spend on a website.

5. AlexaRank

Alexa's ranking can be manipulated easier than some of the
other factors. Nonetheless, a high Alexa ranking can show
historic changes in a website, and can play a role in
determining a website's value.

6. Established Revenue

Any revenue that a website generates can clearly show a website's
earning potential. Naturally, the higher the earning potential
of a website, the more its value will be.

7. Web Logs

The website's logs can be extremely useful in determining
the site's value. Web logs not only reveal the volume of
traffic that the website receives, but they can also show
some other very important statistical information ...
which you may not want shared! So a word of caution is
in order -- be careful when deciding which details you
wish to disclose to potential buyers.

8. Domain Name

A "good" or short domain name can also influence a website's
resale value. Shorter domain names are becoming more and more
scarce, and a short, catchy domain name may help to increase
a website's value.

9. Age

The age and history of the domain can influence a website's
value. An older domain is typically more valuable than a
newer one. However, if an older website had historically
ranked well but no longer does, that could have the opposite
effect and could negatively impact the value of a website.

10. Technology

The technology behind the website can also influence the site's
value. If the website is database-driven and dynamic, and the
technology that supports the website is included as part of
the sale, that may also impact the value of the website.

Determining the value of a website can be complicated and
confusing. Ultimately, a website is only worth whatever
the highest bidder is willing to pay. But providing the
details above during the negotiation process may help
close the deal and make the sale.
