What Makes a Good Business to Get Into....

A lot of people email me and ask me "is this a good business" , or
"would you join under me" or "why wouldn't you join?" [when it 
APPEARS to be very good].

So, tonight - I am going to share my criteria for the absolutely 
best business you can get into... and it is a network marketing business.

Network marketing allows you to build a long term income, while
helping others do the same. You all help each other - you all 
win - it's that simple. In a true and proper networking business
you must help people BECOME SUCCESSFUL FIRST, BEFORE
you, yourself achieve success - WITH the help of your uplines.

You are paid on multiple levels or generations.

Proper networking is about building a lifelong income, not a 
"quick buck"... or once in a while commissions.

Answers in [] indicate the very best numbers or yes or no..


a] Products and/or Services must be unique, be of higher quality
    and/or LOWER priced then compare able products. 
    If you can buy it in WALMART - it's not worth it.
 [yes]

b] The MAJORITY of people must NEED and USE these products.
    The higher the percentage the better... and these need to be 
    recession proof - meaning if the economy "goes down the tubes",
    people will STILL buy these products and services [from you].
 [100%]

c] Products and/or Services must be easy to order and come with
    a money back guarantee - this is a must. The stronger the guarantee
    the stronger the servicing company and products.
 [100% - Use it all up and return the "empty"]

d] Products and services must be "consumable" - this means they
    must be re-purchased on a regular basis - and thereby give you
    a relatively STABLE monthly income. Any program based on
    ONE TIME commission sales, should be avoided.

e] Company must have been in business for at least 5 years. 95% of
    "bad businesses" fail in 2 to 5 years. Company must also have
    an established track record. How many join, how long they
    stay in , what they buy, how much they make at each income level
    etc etc... if you can not get this info... forget it.
    99% of most business fail 'the test" right here.
 [10 years+ - all stats documented, with highs lows 
 and averages, at all levels.]

f] Compensation Plan MUST BE LEGAL.

    People must be compensated on effort and sales of products
    and services only. Any business with a large UP FRONT
    FEE without "anything to show for it" should be avoided.

    Any program that requires you to buy a large inventory at
    start up [called FRONTEND loading] should be avoided.

    Acid Test: 
    For a networking marketing plan to be legal, the person,
    regardless of position, that puts in the MOST EFFORT
    must always be rewarded the most.

g] Compensation plan must both encourage new people to
    join AND promote [give reason] leadership positions. 
    In other words, there must be "reasonable money" for
    new people, and there must be a REASONABLE money
    for leaders to build larger organizations.

    IF you have "all the money" at the front end, there is NO
    incentive for leaders to build large organizations. Without
    large organizations, there is no stability. What usually happens
    is the comp plan suddenly changes to reflect this or the
    company folds.

h] Low Start up fee. The majority of people must be able to
    join it - anything over $200 will cause growth problems.

i]  Now, we come down to the bottom line... this is the clincher...
    If the business you are in , or want to get into passed all the
    above tests... then these are the final questions:

    1] What is the re-order rate per month?
 If it is under 50% - your income will
 go up and down...

    2] What is the RETENTION rate of customers & 
        business builders?
 If it is under 50% - you will be RE-building
 your business constantly, regardless of the
 level you achieve in the business.
 [top is 95% and 95% increases to 99% as
 soon as they MAKE $5+ per month]

    3] How many people that "see" the business get in?
 This translates into how hard you have to
 work to sponsor new people. If its under
 3/10 then you will work very hard.
 [top is 8/10 and 9/10]

    4] Is there a minimum order per month? How much?
 If you do not have a minimum order per
 month your income will go up and down...
 The minimum must be LESS than the
 company's average order per month.
 [$40-50 / 50% lower than the company average]

Bottom Line: Do they work? YES. Provided you are VERY careful. Because of the nature of advertising in these groups, in is STRONGLY advised that you read and re-read this section BEFORE attempting to advertise here. First: What are Newsgroups... To better understand WHY you must be very careful when placing ads here, we must first look at what they are... A Newgroup is like an on going discussion about a VERY SPECIFIC topic. Let's say you are discussing Sports Cars with your friends and someone UNEXPECTEDLY comes up to your group and starts talking about a business opportunity WITHOUT invitation... you and your friends would either ignore the person and/or get upset at this OFF TOPIC interruption... after all you would PREFER to continue talking about Sports Cars right now... This is EXACTLY what newsgroups are about - ongoing discussions about a particular topic(s). Postings ('comments') from unwanted sources are deleted or worst - answered VERY negatively. In extreme cases, you may get a SPAM notice and have your email or domain shutdown. It is important to note that there are programs running the SCAN all newsgroups for duplicates, and send out automated spam notices... Sounds like fun? So the rules are: a) No off topic postings - if in doubt, 'listen in' and check to make sure your posting 'on topic'. b) Do NOT put URL or WEBSITE addresses in a posting or email. To be safe use a THROW AWAY email address such as a FREE email address such as http://hotmail.com , http://iname.com http://yahoo.com c) Do not post duplicate ads - change each one slightly to avoid the 'Newsgroups Police'. It is NOT recommended that you post more that 5 ads PER WEEK to be safe... Sounds like a lot of work? Keep in mind that you will be targeting VERY specific groups of people and that postings can be SEARCHED for years... make sure the ads you place are full of KEYWORDS that people may use to search for your product or service in the future via search engines. After you get email responses FROM THE POSTINGS - then send more info... and URLS to websites etc... Newsgroups work if you are cautious and respectful of other peoples discussions and keep to the topics being talked about... If you are in DOUBT - do not post... Copyright 2000, David Belton

Just one word could be keeping you from success.... Scary, isn't it ? You could be just sitting on a mountain of money, but ONE WORD, could be holding you back... the 'ad types' (classifieds, email and ezines) - that WORK on internet for companies on net work BASED on words. They (the ads) must, get your Attention, capture your Interest, make you DESIRE more information (click through), and prompt you to take ACTION (click on that link / email you). That is the basis of ALL advertising, worldwide - called the AIDA formula. Notice, NOWHERE does it say SALE/BUY/SIGN UP. In fact the LESS facts you use and MORE BENEFITS your ads says will increase your results bigtime. Can you possibly tell ALL THERE IS TO KNOW in 50 words, 100 words? No - get them your website! Ads on the net are (should be) designed with ONE purpose - to prompt the person to get MORE info, either via email or visiting your website - NOT to make a sale. Your goal in advertising, is to make your ad MAKE the reader visit your site or request more information. Where do your learn this? STUDY the classifieds ads in FREE classifieds, paid classifieds ezines and email... YOU be the judge - which ones would you click on on? Visit? Get more info? Collect the ones you found to be the best.... note that the TITLE/HEADING is the MOST important part of the ad. THEN tailor your ads to 'copy' the style of these 'winning ads'... Then PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.
