& How to make MONEY doing it"

Over 80% of web surfers use search engines to find stuff online...
it's time you got listed!
Remember, your ISell site works by people VISITING it to post ads -
what better traffic than free traffic [and of course free leads]!

Before we get into the "nitty gritty" of listing with
search engines, let's talk about a few simple ways first:
1 - Add a link or links DIRECTLY to your classifieds
on your homepage, menu bars etc etc.
For an example, see:

See "FREE CLASSIFIEDS".
When search engines "Spider" your website[s]
they will include this link... more on this in a few minutes...
This is the easiest way to take advantage
of promotion you are already doing.
NOTE:
Your Isell classifieds is designed to remind people to
visit your HOMEPAGE, which then forces them to see
your main homepage 'messages' -
BUT: People will also be looking for the "free classifieds"
link to repost their ads... make sure you have one on your
homepage. You can set the link sent in your "ad expired"
emails, in the admin section of your Isell Classifieds control panel.
2 - Submit your site to sites that LIST classifieds:
a] Grandfather of all links - directory and email announcements:

b] Mother of all links:
http://www.uran.net/imall/FREE_Sites_A-H.html?becanadaISELLis7
c] Yahoo listings of classifieds
http://dir.yahoo.com/Business_and_Economy/Classifieds/
d] 1America Mall [they have a free ad service and listings]:

The last entry is important - free and low cost paid sites
are always looking to exchange links and/or list
"other places to advertise" at their sites...
WHY:
More traffic and "higher value" to their surfers...
TIP:
Did you know you can add a real time list of
all Isell Sites to your website[s]free and list it like
a resource - a reason for surfers to visit your site REGULARLY?

This code can be added to any site - just two lines - and it updates automatically.
=== PART #2 - How to list your classifieds DIRECTLY in search engines.
There are a number of ways to do this - some simple and
straight forward, some requiring more time and effort...
1 - You can create lead in pages that LEAD to your classifieds site.
This involves making up one or more HTML pages with a direct
link to your classifieds site WITH special "TAGS" on this HTML
page to make the "lead in page" list properly
in search engines. Search "Yahoo" [yahoo.com] for "meta tags"
for information on these tags and how to use them...
There is of course software to automate this task,
as it is VITAL "listed" to get your website in many search engines:
1 ] Webposition Gold2 - number one in the market.
This will automate lead in pages, and ranking, tags, and more...

2] CGI Resources - this will have resources to create pages.

2 - How about some "quick" and "easy ways" ?
a] In your classifieds admin area set your "
Number of Ads To Show at once" setting to 200 or higher.
This number sets the number of ads displayed PER PAGE when some
one surfs your classifieds in a category.
b] Visit your classifieds site main page [categories]
c] Visit each category in your classifieds.
d] RIGHT click, and choose "view source".
e] Save this file with a .html ending [ie. business.html ].
f] Repeat for all your categories.
g] Add in "meta tags" if preferred [you can open
these files in NOTEPAD or WORD PAD, or an HTML EDITOR]...
h] Upload these to your website[s], and submit
these PAGES to search engines.
OPTIONS:
1] You may want to make an index page to all these
pages, and list it in search
engines and have the engines "spider" the other pages.
2] Add links on your homepage of your website[s].
3] Upload these same pages to MULTIPLE website[s]
if you have them... and of course submit
them to search engines - this will give you MULTIPLE
listings of your classifieds site.
How do I make Money doing this?
=========================
Because you just performed a SERVICE [that is make the pages
listed in search engines], you can offer this to people
posting ads, as a "value added" service.
Their listing will now be permanent and listed in search engines.
[you can delete ads off the listing in your HTML PAGES].
TIPS:
1] Add "ads", "banners", "promos" BETWEEN ads
[ie every 5 or 10 ads].
2] Add banner exchange codes to get "free impressions"
to promote your site. see:
http://www.linkexchange.com
3] Add additional links on all of these "html listings"
pages to lead to your main site...
[search engines will "spider" these!]
4] You may want to update these pages regularly with new ads OR
simply add more pages to the "archive" ... upload these and
submit them ... every 30 days...

See an example of "index page", all pages, ads, etc at:

In this example I made an INDEX PAGE, added meta tags to it, and then linked
all the "categories" on the index page, added links, added banner exchanges
and ads...
Notes:
- to save time, I did a view source of the category page itself,
saved it as HTML, and modified the links [and removed the admin]
- see the "shameless" ad at the top of the index page and every 10 ads
or so in the "Business opportunities" section.
- I modified all the actual category pages - removing, the "send email
to a friend", and removing the "post a new ad" and " delete ads " and
"search function" and modified the "return to classifieds link" to
point at my special index.
- In "Home business" I left the on "post a new ad" and " delete ads "
and "search function" AND a link to the real classifieds
! be carefully to make sure they link correctly.

I will take 1 to 2 hours for most webmasters to view sources, modify,
upload to websites and submit to search engines... then you have
a permanent "search engine" lead system to your classifieds,
a permanent ads database, PREMIUM ADS which you can charge more
for... and free advertising via banner exchanges... and more...
Once it is done, it will take only a little maintenance on your part...
Although our goal was to get listed in search engines -
we went a little further to show you what could be done...
and add income to your pocket.
