Before you write

BeCanada publishes general information, not advice about your individual case. We cannot review your application, assess your eligibility, tell you which program to file under, or recommend a specific consultant or lawyer. If you need that, you need a licensed immigration consultant or a lawyer — not a website. See our disclaimer.

What we can do is answer questions about what our guides say, fix errors, point you to the official source for a number, and tell you which government body to approach.

• Response time Usually within 2–3 business days. We are not an emergency service and cannot respond on a deadline.

What to include

If you are reporting an error, it helps enormously if your message contains:

• The URL of the page the problem is on.
• The exact figure or sentence you believe is wrong.
• The official source that shows the correct version, if you have it.

That is usually enough for us to fix it and update the article's Sources section in the same pass.

Corrections we have made

When we correct an article we update the page and change the “last updated” date rather than quietly editing. Material corrections are listed below; routine ones (typos, formatting) are not itemised.

• September 29, 2026 — Removed the sales sections and promotional blocks from all articles; added a named byline, a Sources section to every article, and the editorial policy and disclaimer pages.
